More of Leigh! (oh, and Fletcher...)

Is it wrong that we're taking more pictures of Leigh
than of Fletcher these days?
Because the blog is named after him, I really need to include all the
pictures that I've taken of this little silly-head.

Today, Fletcher and I played a matching card game.
Usually I pair up half the deck and we play with it,
but today he wanted the whole deck.
He did well, although he can be a poor sport sometimes.
But he is only three...

Lots of smiles and laughter lately.  Sweet girl.

Play gym that she got for Christmas.
Apparently, it's Fletcher's toy too.
She's gaining more hand control.  It's a milestone.
It's like trying to accomplish something
while you're looking in the mirror.
Things seem backwards and it's hard to
make your hands do what you want them to.
Anyone else have that problem?  Anyone?

Another milestone: putting hands together.
You'd think this would be so easy, but infants have no control over their
hands for the first few months.
This photo was taken this past evening.

Grrrrand-daddy!
And some silly toys that Wes bought her to go on her wrists.
She ignores them.

Okay, this is what she does when she should be sleeping,
but she wants to look around and be awake.
It's very annoying.  But very cute.  But very annoying.

This is her "ooooo" face.
She sounds like a quiet monkey, "Ooo, ooo, ooo, ooo."

My Mom (aka: "Grammy")

Hi, friends.  As some of you know, my mom (Fletcher & Leigh's "Grammy") passed away on December 12th.

She was diagnosed with stage 4, non-hodgkins lymphoma in August.  The cancer was very aggressive, and it didn't help that her kidneys were functioning very poorly from the start.  She was in a lot of pain throughout the entire illness.

We moved her to Hospice's Christopher House, here in Austin, on December 6th.  She was very comfortable in her last days.  Hospice is awesome.

The family saw her interred on new year's eve at Texas State Veteran's Cemetery in Killeen.

Grammy loved all her grandchildren so much!  We are lucky that she got to meet Leigh before she passed.

"Where you used to be, there is a hole in the world, which I find myself constantly walking around in the daytime, and falling into at night."  Edna St. Vincent Millay

Love to you all!  May 2010 be a better year!

Christmas in California!

Here we are in California.  Sara hasn't visited since Christmas 2007,
and it was a very nice vacation indeed!

Fisher & Co.
He's so cute, everyone else in the picture is an "extra."

Gifts from Grandma.
He really loves this school bus- plays with it every day.

Dawasi is 9 this year.
I swear, these boys are getting so big and handsome.
It's hard to believe they're not teenagers yet.

Pearce is 10 this year.

Eric is 8 this year.

Pictures of Leigh

Happy New Year, everyone!

Here are some recent pictures of Leigh- growing every day.
We've been having issues with her acid reflux, and she's now taking
Prevacid twice a day.  What a relief!
Where she used to fuss and cry when she wasn't eating or sleeping,
now she coos and plays.
And we were going through a burp rag every hour (lots of spitting up).

She's now 11 1/2 weeks, and almost 14 lbs!

Chubbers!!!

Eating her hand whilst wearing her "candy cane" outfit,
as Wes likes to call it.

We got to go to California for Christmas- yay!
Grandma & Grandpa with the latest grandchild.
Too bad her big head is in front of Grandma's face!

Adam, Fisher, Leigh & Yoko.
Fisher is 1 1/2 now and sooooo cute.
